AITOOLS.LK ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website https://aitools.lk and its related tools and services (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Who We Are

AITOOLS.LK is a Sri Lanka–based platform that provides free, AI-powered online tools — including AI PaperBook (GCE O/L exam papers with AI-generated answers) and a stress level checker. We are located in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka.

2. Information We Collect

a) Information you give us

  • Contact details — when you use our contact form or message us, we may collect your name, email address and the content of your message.
  • Tool inputs — information you type into our tools (for example, answers in the stress level checker). This is processed to give you results and, for the stress checker, is not stored on our servers.

b) Information collected automatically

  • Usage & device data — such as pages visited, browser type, device information, approximate location and referring pages, collected through analytics and cookies.

c) Information from Facebook / Meta

If you connect a Facebook account or Page to our Service, or interact with our Facebook app, we may receive information you authorise through Facebook Login and the Facebook Graph API — such as your public profile, Page details and the permissions you grant (for example, to help manage or automate content on your own Facebook Page). We only access what you explicitly authorise.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate and improve the Service and our tools.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
  • To manage or automate actions on Facebook Pages only where you have authorised it.
  • To understand how the Service is used and improve performance (analytics).
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent misuse.

Our Service integrates with third parties including Google (Analytics), Meta / Facebook (Login, Graph API, Pixel) and our web hosting provider. These providers process data under their own privacy policies. Some tools may link to WhatsApp for communication; messages you send there are governed by WhatsApp's privacy policy.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information only: (a) with service providers who help us operate the Service; (b) when required by law or to protect our rights; or (c) with your consent. We never sell your data to advertisers.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, or as required by law. Stress checker inputs are processed in your browser and not retained. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to assist you.

8. Data Deletion & Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent at any time.

To request deletion of your data (including any data obtained through Facebook), email us at nuwanudaaa11@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 30 days. If you connected via Facebook, you can also remove the app from your Facebook account settings (Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites).

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is intended for general and student use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
